This is my first ever post on the BikeRadar Forums and it is a simple one. I am new to mountain biking and I have singled out these two bikes that are within my £285 budget and seem to match my riding style, but I cannot decide between the two, My question is this, which bike is better for light downhill/trails/jumps?
Thanks, Brad.

The GT is dire, truly aweful, a cynical use of the brand name to sell a pile of poo.
The Rockriders are significantly better, but I wouldn't get the full suspension but a hardtail.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
