Most people seem to have gone for Valverde in the PTP, but a decent proportion for Chaves etc. too.

Fairly big break at 4 minutes with 9.5km to go.

    Gap is falling fast though.

Calmejane is out in front, I know literally nothing about him.

Calmejane wins, Atapuma second taking the bonus seconds - possibly into red jersey

He's not going for GC, it was said before it started. He's going for stage wins so it's pretty pointless him spending energy trying to stay with the bunch.

From what I have seen, everybody bar the obvious 3 or 4 are going for stage wins.
Not a bad idea given nobody can be arsed to chase down breaks.

Good stage win that. Surprised that final climb was a Cat 2 in this Vuelta though, it was a bit meh.

Calmejane rode our club 10 a few years back. Surprising not amazingly fast at the time, but did smash a local KOM out reach after I'd spent quite some time edging closer to it.

a few years? back - hes 23 now so he was basically 20 and a climber - not sure he's ready for a club 10 :D

I like hime as he's frpm the Langeudoc and the same height as me with the same shoulders !
