Bottom Brackets!!!!

I've taken the old bottom bracket out of my 2012 Cannondale Synapse (winter bike), which seems to be an internal cartridge/tapered style.
I want to change the crankset to a FSA Gossamer with a 30mm spindle, as ive taken it off another bike and want to convert my winter bike from a triple to double chainset.

I've managed to establish that the frame bottom bracket thread is 1.37x24 and 68mm in width, which i believe is fairly common in the uk. My missus's 105 5700 BB fits in my frame, so i'm pretty confident this is the correct size. However Im having trouble finding one that fit a 30mm spindle.

The spindle on the FSA is 103mm long....... how influential is this measurement in finding a suitable BB??

I'm a total novice when it comes to BB's and have read countless articles and watched videos, but still none the wiser.

For some reason I'm drawn to thinking this is all i need...........??

but surely it cant be that simple.......
