    Mild Thursday hangover is in evidence after the cycling pub crawl last night, managed to ride in this morning as well. That gets my mileage for the month up into double figures at least. It was a struggle. Trying to maintain my normal shirking level but still have stuff to catch up on. Might try to hide somewhere and have a siesta before long.

    Up at one o'clock this morning with a hysterical two year old demanding 'snacks'. Finally got her settled and nodded off again just in time for the alarm to go off.

    On the plus side last night's Olympic hockey match was absolutely compelling...

    Yes - Olympic hockey was excellent. 7 out of 7 for the women so far.

    70 hilly miles to the good today. Not an impressive distance but I am chuffed to bits with how I feel and how it went. Marred by 2 things:
    Idiot driver on a single track road parping the horn at me and going past at 50/55 mph. It was 2.52 and I know the driver (small world here). I guess she was in a hurry to pick up the grandchild from school.
    Second thing was a black dog, hair standing up, teeth bearing at me in the middle of the road. I took to chucking stones at it. Two hit his flank and one bounced off his head. I am sorry dog - would have preferred to chuck the stones at his owner.

    Onwards and sideways.
