Strava not uploading

Hi People, Can anyone help? A glitch appears to have developed with my Strava App (Andriod). When I attempt to record a session the page comes up and seems to start recording however when I bring out the phone to save the activity at the end of a ride, Strava reads that I have only gone 5 seconds and when I try to save it comes up with 'Strava needs a longer activity to upload & analyse. Please continue or start over.' It then gives the options - discard/resume. Obviously this is pretty frustrating after a 80k ride. I have checked my phones (HTC Desire) GPS, which is working fine; it isn't going to sleep mode and also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, however to little avail which has meant I have lost quite a bit of data/rides. It would be really appreciated if you have suggestions to help.

    Have you contacted Strava?

Personally I'd uninstall the app before reinstalling it. I'd try turning the phone off and then back on. I'd then try recording my travelling to work (be it car, bus or foot).

Have you tried other apps which record GPS to see if there is an issue with your phone recording it?

Have you thought about buying a Garmin?

I have an HTC Desire 320 - hopeless phone can't wait to change it next year. Often has given me the same message you have. It seems that unless the GPS is locked in initially it won't see you move! I have reverted to my old Samsung for rides now as it never has this issue.
