HI
I'll be staying in Rotherham/Sheffield for a whole week on my own (business trip) and of course I want to take my bike. Any recommendations on where to ride? I don't mind driving from Rotherham to get to somewhere, so long as it's no more than 40 or 50 minutes away and would prefer a trail centre as I don't know the aria at all well.
Cheers

Google Lady Cannings. It's a newish trail in a wood plantation on the outskirts of Sheffield, dug by a volunteer organisation (ride Sheffield). Only a small loop but on the edge of better rides in the Peak District (ladybower reservoir etc).
The ride Sheffield website will also show you a few other sites around the city...
If you want a trail centre, sherwood pines should be about 45 mins down the m1, m18 and A10
