Which Way Round? TA Chainring

I have bought a 36t TA Zephyr chainring to go replace my 34t inner chainring. I'm struggling to find out which way round it goes on. On one side the teeth are virtually flush with the body/side of the chainring but on the other side there is a distinct lip. So .... side on the teeth are not central, they are more to one side than the other. Question is - when fitting to the inner chank which round does it go on a Shimano 105 hollowtech chankset?

I would say that the smooth side is toward the frame and I am guessing that the "lip" is on the side of the ring with the writing on which should be to the outside adjacent to your crank arm. I have nothing to technically verify this but that's the way it looks like it should go to me.

Exactly right - flush side to bike, lipped side to outside.

From memory on mine, there is also a small triangle on the outside of the ring that lines up with the crank.
