Anyone ride to the north and east of Exeter?

Sorry for another post but I'm not sure how many people read the Route section. Can anyone help with these routes that end and then start near Exeter?
Hoping for some advice on a nice route through the Blackdown Hills (just their name sounds nice so there's bound to be a nice route?) and then confirmation that the route back out east for the next day will be good.
Many thanks for any advice.
Here's the route towards Exeter at the moment:

And out to the New Forest:

If you're feeling particularly knowledgeable then you could also help with getting me from the New Forest to Chew Valley on day one as well! The main objective with this one is to avoid Shepton Mallet and the Rapha outlet so I don't arrive £500 poorer:

Thanks again

Probably best to avoid the A303! That'd be miserable; a hugely busy road.
South of the 303 is very lumpy around Stockland, some poor road surfaces too. North of it is probably better, I do a lot of riding around there.
To get to Broadclyst (my old town!), I'd take the hit of a bit of climb up from Broadway (keeps getting steeper!), then Hemyock, Culmstock, Willand, Cullompton and finally Broadclyst.

And on to the New Forest, I'd return back the other way at first, head towards Yeovil (and enjoy the descent to Broadway, massive fun!). Here's a route I just plotted, I ride this way to Yeovil occasionally.

If you're lucky there will be an ice cream van at Ham Hill :-)
I don't really know the roads after Yeovil, but made something up anyway. Apart from the climb up over the Blackdowns (quite steady), it looks quite flat and keeps you (mainly) off the coast road.Weather info: http://www.staydry.me.uk0
