Can anyone recommend a biodegradable degreaser that is sold by the Litre/ 5 litre and doesn't cost stupid money?

I find bilt hamber surfex hd great. It can be watered down and used a general cleaner or used neat as a degreaser. It probably isn't quite as powerful as solvent degreaser but not by much. It's better than all citrus ones i've tried and is very user friendly (doesn't smell, or burn the skin).

I don't know what you classify as stupid money, but Jizer works for me:

even if the degreaser is biodegradable, unless you're using it to remove a biodegradable grease the end product will still be something that should be disposed of as dirty petrochemical waste

white spirit works and is cheap, if you leave it the dirt settles out, you can re-use the clean part, when it's too far gone you can take it to the recycling centre
