Hi Guys,
I have read the reviews about this bike and have to say I am suitably impressed - Seen them on gumtree for £500-£750.
I have two questions - What better can you buy 2nd hand for this sum of money ? What do owners of this bike think of it ?
Thanks in advance.
I currently have a Scott Scale 960 which I love but want something more DH orientated.

Bossnut is a great trail bike but it's far from a DH bike.
If it's a trail bike you want then you won't do better for the money. Just make sure it's not stolen, most bikes on Gumtree are.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I'm just waiting for my C2W certificate them the Boss will be mine!
Cant wait to give it a proper try out on the trails, and as a first full suss I'm sure it'll live up to the reviewsBossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531

It'll be fine on the blue trails but not great on the reds due to fork and wheel flex and basic suspension. You could get down the blacks but only by avoiding all the features which make them worthy of their black grading.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Thanks for the reply.
Surely with a fork / sus upgrade this would be a reasonable beginners bike ?0 -
RMSC's comments are at odds with the MBR review

What you mean they are contradictory ?0 -
The 32mm fork, basic wheels and basic shock are the main limiting factors.
The red trails at Bike Park Wales are very rocky so the flex in the fork and wheels will make it hard to hold a line (my old Nukeproof with Revelation fork was a nightmare) and the basic shock will mean a very harsh ride and lack of grip.
The black trails all involve some pretty big (20 foot plus) gap jumps which will be fine if you land them perfectly but get it wrong and you'll not get away with it, the flex will send you straight off.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
