Schwalbe vs Spesh tyre durability

I've raced on Specialized tyres for a few years (S-Works casing front, Control rear) and I'm going to move onto Schwalbes for next year. I've been warned off the LiteSkin casings at 127tpi, but I'm not convinced they should be any more fragile than the Spesh S-Works 120tpi casings. I have run those successfully on the front through every race and condition without incident *touches wood* and actually the only tyre I have torn is a Fast Trak Control casing on the back. Are the Schwalbes really that fragile, and more fragile than other comparable tyres?

The biggest problem I've had with Schwalbe tyres is knobbles ripping off.
The lite skin do have a reputation for being extremely fragile.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Some of the gear, less than no idea...0 -
All my Schwalbe are liteskin and never had an issue, never torn any knobs off either.
Have picked up some used super sticky Gatestars (for a try out) that were used for 4X though and they have the start of some tearing of the side knobs from use on a very dry track.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
