Fox Bombers/armoured gloves...?

Hiya
I was at my local bikepark today and had an almighty over the bars mash up, face slammed into the ground etc...Thank god I had all my protection on and walked away with just a sore wrist. My €7 Aldi fingerless gloves did their job - barely.
So im looking at armoured gloves such as the Fox Bomber, I just cant bring myself to trust just the foam/gel pad type gloves and want something with molded, solid knuckle/finger protection.
Anyone able to recommend anything?
Crashes are weird, you can have fairly tame scuffles that freak you out then an absolute ripper like today which is a bit of a laugh...anyone else find that?
