Hi guys

Looking for a winter do it all, manky wet highland roads, trails and paths... Looking to maintain fitness on the road instead of just the turbo

Budget £1000

Is the PX XLS the answer or am I missing something more obvious

Lot's of gravel bikes can be had for that budget, although the XLS will also do the job, probably...

Yup - it sounds like a gravel/adventure bike fits the bill. I used mine on the fire roads in the Highland winter and it was great. Mind you, the roads in the Cotswolds are far mankier than Highland roads in winter - there's clay or something that means they stay filthy in a way that they don't on the Black Isle.
