Hello lads,
A year ago I started getting into mtbing and I bought a cheap, 26", $270 bike.
I've been upgrading things here and there. Small upgrades. Forks being the biggest one .
Heres a list of the upgrades:
MTB* [Frame](Merax Finiss) - $270.0
Tries (Schwalbe Rapid Rob) - $ 40.0
Handlebar (Oval Concepts) - $ 12.0
Front Fork (Rockshox Recon Gold) - $170.0
Fork Adapter (FSA) - $ 20.0
Clipless Pedals (VP Components) - $ 14.0
M610 Upgrade (Shimano Deore M610) - $300.0
Wheels/Rims (DT Swiss) - $199.0
___________________________________________
TOTAL MTB - $526.0
TOTAL MTB Upgraded - $1025.0
I'm at a point where I need to decide If I keep upgrading the bike I currently have, adding the Deore m610 upgrade and new Rims for a total of $500 more, or stop here, save another $500 and buy some Grand Canyon 6.9?
Already spent $500, spend another $500 and make it a decent bike or spend $1000 and get a new bike...?
Thanks!

The frame wasn't really worth upgrading. Why not buy a new frame?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Looks like very old fashioned geometry though. Something a bit more up to date will ride a lot better.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Yea, I think the frame its not the best, but holds its own... So I'll keep upgrading, then.
Thanks!0
