garmin 520

hi all just been given a 520 edge what do i use to up load routes to it that people have done or is it not worth do this with a 520 many thanks dawn

It can be done from Garmin Connect easily but IIRC you may have to be buddies with whoever's ride you wish to download.
In connect click on the ride and then go into the settings in the top right hand corner and you'll have the options there to send to device, save as a course etc
On Strava its just as easy.

Bender, I haven't read your review but did you ever get round to investigating the mapping?

I'm currently deciding between a 520 and 810. Mapping isn't essential but would be handy on the few occasions I'm on holiday with the bike.

EDIT. Sorry, just been through the comments at the bottom and think I have the answers needed.

Yep. It's all in there. Should work fine for abroad, just follow the same method!
