Ultegra Di2 nameplate cracked
Hi,
I've had my Canyon Aeroad a couple of weeks and done less than 100 miles, today I noticed a crack in the small metal plate at the top of the brake lever. I think it was probably there when I received it as it certainly hasnt been knocked in anyway and has been sitting in my spare room.
Ive emailed canyon to see if they will send a replacement part.
Two questions:
1 - Is it safe to ride and use?
2 - Will replacing the part be easy?
Thanks

1. I would ride it
2 changing a shifter isn't complicated, YouTube is a great help"It never gets easier, you just go faster"0 -
It's a name plate.
Ride it, forget about it.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

The they again, it may point to structural material composite issues - started at the weakest point moving on, underneath the visible exterior, to the weakest point leading to structural failure and DEATH when braking.
Sell the whole bike immediately before you get death disease.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
