Had a dentist check up this morning, no fillings and all perfect. If I was a kid I'd get a sticker!

Giving blood this afternoon, I wonder what they'll say if I ask for an oxygen rich bag from out of the fridge.

Friday... not so much POETS as DEBTS (Don't Even Bother To Start).

Did almost nothing of any consequence, but still a nice day. Started fettling an old frame, but CBA to finish it.

Went to the hospital this morning, long wait but at least I got a seat, you don't need to understand Portuguese to know which category I'm in :D

Depends what you mean by early - I'll be out of the door for a pedal home around 5.30.

Managed to resist the lure of too many whiskies last night so am feeling pretty good if a little tired after riding in. Less than two weeks to go before holidays - starting the count down :)

Lesson learnt, you can't go to the dentist and give blood within 24 hours, infection risk apparently.

On the plus side I'll have more blood tomorrow and no bruises.

On a negative, someone might die as I have a rare blood group, AB-.

Sat on beach in 30 degrees all day - lots of throwing bambini in the sea/throwing ball about action, so wonderful stuff. About to go for a glass and f wine then track down a pizzeria.

The title of this thread actually reminds me of the day The One Who Got AWay got away - as her bus pulled out of town I said to myself "well, that's the one that got away". And it was/is.

Oh well, best have some pizza and a glass of vino with the bambini and all will be well.

    Ciao

    Work meh day

Bright side in a branch only 26 miles from home so shouldn't be too late - which is important because Friday = pub night

Early finish for me today. My head hurted a bit - it's been a week, dealing with the massed forces of stupidity.
Now having a soothing beer as I cook Mrs BBGeek's favourite scran. Cottage pie. In July. Gods its hot in my kitchen.
Also blanched a load of beans kindly donated by our neighbour.
This weekend is mainly visiting a local favourite pub as they have a beer festival on. And lots of cider.
Take it easy out there, everyone.

MF's lot would be fawning over this risotto I've got in the go. Just rustling up some garlic butter for the bread and got a heap of Parmesan to dump in the pan at the end.

Despite the fact I'm full of mash and mince...Mmm, risotto...sounds ace

When the kids specifically ask for it you know you've got it right!

And you get to drink the other half the cooking wine too!

In Switzerland at the moment. Quite a long day and a bit knackered. A large weisse beer and some scoff helped. On to Tuscany in the morning, then relax.
