Hi,

The bike shop I used partially wired my 7970 di2 externally and the rest was cable tied (from the BB to the rear mech) due to the length of the wire and the longer length of the chainstay.
Since then, I ordered an 875mm external wiring kit to see if the current one was medium sized (I purchased the groupset second hand).
Now though both wiring kits are the same length and I am stuck with a wire that's been cable tied to my chainstay and a rear mech that stops working as the wire comes loose upon using my bike.
Could I use the wiring kit I've just purchased and use the rear mech wire from it to extend the length of my current rear mech wire?
I'll attach a link to the wiring kits I have, if it makes more sense to see the wire:

Could splicing the two BB to rear mech wires together work???

    Hi,

Has anyone attempted to splice di2 wires from the BB to the rear mech?
