It's Wednesday. Whoopee, nearly half-way through the week.

The older I get, the better I was.

    What idea's this then?

It is raining here but as I'm working from home it doesn't matter too much as it doesn't feel like I'm missing anything. fortunately our European colleagues are already on the beach or packing up ready so the amount of annoying issues coming up is dropping off.

Minion hunting continues - got a lot of decent CV's for an entry level role and need to decide who to bring in for interview. It's a hard decision so I may need to go on the principle of not employing unlucky people by randomly chucking half the CV's in the bin

The implication is that an unlucky person might get the job.

I guess you know yourself better than anyone.

You can blame me for the ad weather, decided to keep the s-works and so expect it to rain for ever more! Did manage to clock up 310 miles between Saturday and yesterday on it though!

Back on the not so good bike today though!

It may as well be, I'm in an office.

News from the front line is that MrsHD has bumped and cut her head on the snug top door of my truck.

Thats going to look good on some wedding pic in a few weeks when she's chief bridesmaid!

Just walked in from a horse riding/pizza eating/mafia owned water parking/cold beer sampling kinda day, about to have to suffer annoying aunt over dinner but will use bambino as an excuse to bunk off early, put feet up and read a book while having a glass or two vino rosso.

Speedo has also been fitted to bike so A&E here we come in attemp to get max speed record sorted.

Not so, I am a good boss if my minion retention figures are anything to go by - if you ignore the ones that died on the job that is.

And why would I want one of them? Don't have a desire to pretend that I'm a pro by riding along staring at Garmin/watt/power meter and all that bull.

If you ain't pukin' you ain't racin' or trainin' properly. End of. Racing is life, everything else is waiting.

One minute a power meter so I can go faster on Strava and be part of the local cliquey club, the next thing I'll be advocating Dopeyfroome, £200 bib shorts and posting in ProRace.

It's a slippery slope my learned friend.....

    Edit.

Mind you, he's been a bit wobbly for as long as we have known him. I guess it goes with the occupation.

Chocolate schmocolate. Stracciatella e limone - the only way forward. And speedos on your bike (the speed things that is, not the budgie smugglers so favoured by the poolside/seaside. I'm sure that they would only result in embarrassing chafing in the long term.....).

Now this what we are talking about. Crush the PoFace lads while pointing out how fast you - and not they - are going.
