BMC Alpenchallenge AC02 Deore or Canyon Urban 5.0 SL?

I've narrowed down them down to these two:
BMC Alpenchallenge AC02 Deore 2015 (699 EUR)

I live in Berlin and the main purpose will be to ride around town. So nothing strenuous.
My current bike is a used bike which was definitely a size too small and I really want to make sure that I get the sizing right this time.
The problem is that with BMC, I can take a test ride in Berlin as they have BMC dealers in town.
But the Canyon, as you all probably know, are web based and the only thing I can rely on our my measurements.
In both cases, I will take a size S. I'm 172cm (5'7).
It will be great to hear from people who have tested these bikes or if you have any opinion on them.
