Hi,
This event goes from a village hall on the Devon/Somerset border on Saturday September the 3rd. It's a loop up to Marlborough and back. The roads are mostly quiet, there is some great scenery and we've tried to arrange things so that there are stops to take a break every so often
Distance: 307km
Ascent: 3060m
Start time: 8am
Cut off time: 4am Sunday
Entry cost: £13 ( + £2 insurance for non AUK members )
More details here http://www.ukcyclist.co.uk/audax-events ... withlights
Official entry page here http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/16-375/

Saw this a couple of days ago on the AUK website. Having popped my Audax cherry on Saturday with a 200km (which ended up being a 250km @ 18mph average once I'd factored in the ride to Bath and back from Bristol!) I'm tempted by this - though perhaps at a slightly more sedate pace...0

Such a shame it doesn't start the other way, seeing as I live in MarlboroughRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0
