Marlborough with Lights 300km Audax

vorsprungvorsprung Posts: 1,953
Hi,
This event goes from a village hall on the Devon/Somerset border on Saturday September the 3rd. It's a loop up to Marlborough and back. The roads are mostly quiet, there is some great scenery and we've tried to arrange things so that there are stops to take a break every so often

Distance: 307km
Ascent: 3060m
Start time: 8am
Cut off time: 4am Sunday
Entry cost: £13 ( + £2 insurance for non AUK members )

Saw this a couple of days ago on the AUK website. Having popped my Audax cherry on Saturday with a 200km (which ended up being a 250km @ 18mph average once I'd factored in the ride to Bath and back from Bristol!) I'm tempted by this - though perhaps at a slightly more sedate pace...

Such a shame it doesn't start the other way, seeing as I live in Marlborough
