Hi all,

I'm having real trouble sourcing the lower headset bearing for my 2014 BMC SLR01. Evans Cycles have pointed me in this direction https://www.evanscycles.com/cane-creek- ... t-EV144439 but I'm a bit dubious to order as I can't see if the angle of the bearing is the same as the one that's shot. It's this angle that's the real sticking point and making it hard to find. Endless searching either leads me to the wrong bearing or shows me other BMC owners that can't find it either.

The code on my existing bearing reads MH-P16K (52x7x36deg) and this is it below

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

If you put those dimensions into google, you come back with loads of hits for that type of bearing. Here's the first couple I found:

    http://www.edgesportsuk.com/store/heads ... -a-36.html
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/16209001 ... pla&crdt=0

Are you saying those are the wrong type?
  • The eBay one is wrong as it's a 45deg bearing but the Edgesport one looks spot on - thanks very much, I really appreciate you looking :-)

Out of interest what did you put into Google? I've done several different searches but didn't come up with the Edgesports result.

I googled 'bearing 52 x 7 x 36' - and Edgesport was the first hit. If all else failed though, I would have just taken the bearing into my local branch of BSL, or whatever they're called now...
  • Weirdly that search doesn't work if you don't have the spaces between the numbers which is what I was putting in. With the spaces you get the results. You live and learn eh. Once again many thanks.

No probs, I think without the spaces it will just search for '52x7x36' as a phrase, but with the spaces, it will pick up anything with those numbers...or something...
