Again this year the women are up and down the Champs-Élysées.
I have very little idea who's racing this, though Hannah Barnes was in a breakaway with 15" at one point.
53Km to go.

Who else was she with? I'm not sure you've told us about how lovely the other woman was. What was her name again...? :P
I must say Ellen looks massive on the telly. She's tall but skinny in real life. I often see her out training.Correlation is not causation.0 -

I know she has been sick, but they said she pulled out to focus on Rio, though I know those things arent mutually exclusive, you could still be ill and want to focus on Rio and thats why you pull out
but I was surprised when I saw her name on the provisional starting list, yeah you want to be there in the rainbow stripes but La Course seems to always involve lots of hard and heavy crashes, its very nervous racing and theres always the potential for breaking stuff, Lizzie herself was taken out in 2014, which wasnt ideal prep for the Commonwealth Games,
and it seems at least, Barbara Guarischi has broken an elbow, so it strikes me as one of those if you can avoid it, and you arent guaranteed a win, because its such a hard race to break down, then do so races.0
