So during a ride my feet feel absolutely fine, as soon as i take off my shoes and put my feet on a flat floor, i can barely walk for the pain.
This can go on for a good 30 mins.
Its only started happening in the past few weeks but i haven't changed my shoes or cleat position so not sure why its just started happening

The pain is mainly on the outside of my foot by the arch

Maybe it's the circulation returning, if your shoes are done up really tight?

I have a similar issue (right foot only) where my big toe joint gives me gip after taking my cycling shoes off. Again absolutely fine during the ride. Almost feels like the big toe joint needs to crack back into place and normally resolves itself after 10 minutes or so. However this only happens with my high end Zxelliums. My midrange Road Pros have some orthopedic shims between the cleats and the sole after getting a bike fit done a few years ago, whereas my Zxelliums don't. Might be worth getting a bike fit to get the knee/feet/shoes tracking better? Keep meaning to get some shims for my "best shoes"...

Have you upped the distances you're riding, or doing more climbing/sprinting, etc?

Could be a number of things but I had the same along with very sore balls of my feet. Turns out I have very high arches that had slightly collapsed, this caused my feet to roll around in my shoe searching for grip. I also involuntary dug my toes into the innersole to try and steady my feet. This stressed out my arches.
If you take your innersoles out and you have any number of dents where your toes are then you may have a problem.
My problem was instantly sorted with an admittedly expensive pair of moulded soles, Sidas are the brand.
For me they've just about the biggest difference to my riding, up there with blinging wheels etc.
If it's of interest and you're in or near London I could give you the details of a guy who specialises in orthotics..

I had a similar experience from riding a flat-pedalled bike wearing trainers. My delicate little feeties are used to stiff soled cycling shoes. So get yourself the very best shoes you can. I'm sure you deserve them.

you might want to get some shoe inserts - the heat moulded (DIY) ones are about £25

Sidas footbeds custom fitted are about £60-80

I would also do some calf stretches..
