BSA BB - campag compatibility
I'm sure this has been asked before but search would not work...
I'm recovering from a "nearly-gone" accident...I survived it but my self-custom-built Defy didn't :-(
don't yet know if I'll be able to get on a road bike again, but as things are l'm going to use the time to build a new cheap-ish, nice/ classic looking roadie, Initially to try it on a trainer and later on, if possible, to get back on the road and start building up my confidence and fitness...if things don't work out I'll either sell it or moth-ball it for a few years until my son is big enough:-)
So I've scored a great looking Willier Lavaredo frame on the 'bay...pleasantly surprised by its build quality and bright Red paintwork!
I have some leftover Shimano 6700 bits from the Giant but I'm thinking of keeping it all Italian and going with a Veloce groupset or maybe Athena 11s if I can stretch it. The wheels will be my old F3's as they're the rare silver, will just need to change the free-hub.
The frame has got British threads so I want to know what my options are:
Campag chainsets- do they require campag BB cups and are these made to fit British threads? Are Shimano spindles come in the standard 24mm size and can they fit Shimano cups???
Last time I road Campag was when I was in the early 80's so I'm not too familiar with their modern mechanics :-)
Or would I be better off going the safe Tiagra-105 route (the only Shimano lines that look kind-of Classic)
Thanks!!!

One more Q: can you fit Shimsno SPD's on Campag arms?
Pedal threads are industry standard..0
