Hey guys,

I haven't been on here for a while. Life got in the way! Anyway I am buying a used road bicycle, so just looking for a bit of advice etc. The bike I am looking to buy is 2006 Lemond alpe D'huez, it is in good condition and the derailleur and everything look to be the correct match (Shimano 501) rear derailleur is a Shimano Ultegra. I am not too clued up about what is good and what is not to be honest. It is aluminium carbon composite frame. He said I could I have it for £190 is this a good deal for this bike or should I haggle. obviously being cash on collection, I can just not buy it if its a real lemon.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Sonny

I would buy something far newer like a used specialized allez. Far better auality and easier to get parts and spares etc and will be a totally different ride.
