Giant PSLR0 wheels have clincher tyres glued on?!

Hi
I just tried to change the tyres on my 2015 Giant Propel. It still has the original set up currently: Giant's own (well, DT Swiss made but giant branded!) P-SLR0 aero wheelset and Giants own clincher P-SLR1 tyres.
When I tried to take the tyres off, I found that the tyre bead on one side of the tyre was free as usual, but the bead on the other side is (I think) glued to the rims all the way round. Really solidly. Like so much I can't get it to budge!
Is this normal?! I thought it was only tubs that get glued on...?! If it is normal, how do I get the glue off? I'm wary of slapping any old chemical on a pricey set of carbon rims just in case there's some sort of reaction (like melting it all!).
V grateful for any help.

It won't be glued on. Just work harder on separating the tyre from the rim.0

I have just bought a Giant Fastroad hybrid and glass ripped the side wall of the tyre. When taking it off I found it v. difficult due to the wire rim and when refitting it was like getting a new car tyre with a pop as the tube inflated and seated the tyre into the rim correctly. So if yours are the same construction then as said a little more effort may be required.0

OK thanks for the pointers - I'll give it another shot.0

Probably a tubeless compatible rim - rims require a far tighter bead fit to seal effectively - the downside is they can be difficult to remove / refitMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
