Has anyone come across this weird problem before? Pump won't fit on Presta valve!

And it's not a rubbish one either - it's a Topeak Joe Blow that I've had for years. It fits every other Presta valve that I've used it on, but I've been trying to top up the tyres on my new bike, but the pump just won't go on enough for me to be able to pump them up!

It looks like I'm going to have to resort to taking both tyres off and replacing the tubes with the ones I bought for spare. How stupid! :roll:

    Never mind. I solved it! I Googled it and someone suggested letting some air out of the tyre first, and then trying. It worked! :)

    Yeah, common issue. It does fit, it just won't pump the air in as the valve is so tightly seated. Always undo the lock nut fully, press it momentarily to break the seal and then fit your pump head.
