Strider or Cruzee

Hi

I am looking for a first balance bike for my 20 month old. he has tried his friend's Strider and loves it. While researching what to buy I am now torn between two options..

What are people's thoughts on these two options? has anyone been able to compare them side by side?

They look practically identical - just ask him which colour he prefers, as colour is just about the most important consideration at that age.

Get the Strider, we bought a 2nd hand one thats about 10 years old and it is still brilliant and although he has moved on to other bikes he still loves to buzz about on his strider.

There is also a really good support network and community for them with the option of training days to help them gain confidence and race days around the country which are great fun and really cute watching a load of 2 year olds enjoying their time on their bikes.

In the end I couldn't find any real comparisons of the two bikes online so I decided to get them both and do a little comparison myself. My conclusion was that the Cruzee is the better bike, mainly due to how much lighter it is (it really is noticeably lighter). The Strider is clearly great too and if it was a bit cheaper than the Cruzee I probably would have considered it and I certainly wouldn't have been disappointed getting the Strider but when you see the two side by side the Cruzee one on almost every difference between the two and was a clear winner. If anyone has any questions about differences between the two I'd be happy to try and answer them.
