Hey people, I have a pair of 2009 Reynolds assault clinchers and am happy with them, happy enough I guess. But I've come across some money and was thinking of upgrading and have been looking at the FFW fr6 Carbon clinchers with the dt Swiss 240s.
Is this much of an upgrade or is it more moving side ways.
Any help?

I had the DT Swiss F4R. Lovely wheels but I can't say that they set the world on fire. Roll well, nice and stiff, swooshy. I'd say sideways personally. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I would be looking at wheels you can run tubeless, not sure if the above mentioned ones are?WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

No, they're not (F2 is). They're also not particularly wide (indeed, they're on the narrow side!)My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

So what would you say is a step up for under $2000?0

Depends what your requirements are, what kind of 'improvements' you are hoping for and what type of riding you do. 'More aero' could be a step-up, as could 'lower weight', or you could just carry on riding the wheels you've got.0
