Garmin 25 sync to Strava - help

My wife already had an android Strava mobile phone account. She now has a Garmin 25 and has set up a Garmin Connect account. However the Garmin 25 account (despite having same e-mail/password) isn't linking her Activities to the previous Strava account?
I've downloaded Garmin Express etc but do we have to close her Strava Android account and set up a new Strava account for the Garmin 25? If so.......erm?.......how?
Help please as i'm going around in circles! :(
(I have done my own account before using my Garmin 510 & Strava/Garmin Connect but I never had an android account in Strava previously so it was easy to set up from scratch!)

    Using the Garmin connect app on the android phone go to settings/3rd party apps and add strava. Hope that works?!

    Now she can see a Garmin Connect account on her android phone but still how can that switch it from android to her Edge 25 and transfer all to Strava? I'm clueless?!

    You don't connect the Edge to Strava... your Edge is connected to GarminConnect, and then when you connect GarminConnect to Strava... then your uploads to GarminConnect are pushed to Strava from that point onwards.

    You can make the connection between GarminConnect and Strava either on the phone or on the web (From Strava: https://www.strava.com/settings/profile & use the Social Profiles to connect it to GarminConnect)

    I think it suggests upon making the connection that the last 30 days of activities are also copied but that didn't happen for me.

    She's set up a Garmin Connect account via the Garmin webpage in Google Chrome already; its recognised her Edge25 device; her previous Strava mobile/android account still won't sync up.
    gone to settings but nothing happening despite messing about and wotknot!
    I think she's just about to give up, bin the Edge and just use her android Strava account like she used to!
    So much for me treating her to a Garmin! :?

    You can't get Strava data into Garmin Connect. To get data from Garmin into Strava automatically you need to log into the Strava website and set up the link there.
