Tubeless wheel compatability

hi guys, I've got a pair of Mavic Kysrium's on order (elites), I've read mixed messages on whether these can go tubeless or not. Have been suffering a lot of flint punctures (my daily commute involves a stretch of road which is used to access a construction site, I CAN avoid it but ruins the ride in). Punctures are small and I've switched to Michelin Pro 4 endurances which has helped a little, I don't really want to go 'hardcore' schwalbe marathon or gatorskins as I want speed! :)

Can I switch the mavic's to run tubless with the conversion kit or not?
And should I?

yeah I saw that thread - they're not talking specifically about the Kysrium elite's though. Research tells me they should be ok, but now I've been told they're not in stock for another month so am thinking if I should go for something which are 'tubeless ready' instead?
only issue is I can't find anything which are 1/ Disk, 2/ Tubeless!

You can run tubeless on Ksyriums but they're not the best choice. They have a solid rim (no spoke holes) but the internal rim profile is the same as standard clinchers. So your experience will be the same as taped up Open Pros or similar, albeit without the tape. It'll work but might be frustrating.

For a truly trouble free first experience I would recommend a certified Road Tubless wheelset, like Shimano RS61 or Ultegra, and genuine tubeless tyres, e.g. Hutchinson Fusion or Schwalbe One. No sealant needed, although it might be advisable since you're expecting punctures, and inflate with a track pump.
