Hi

I've just moved house and need a little help with sorting out my ride to work. I want to commute from near Wembley (Preston road area) to tower bridge. I've mapped out a route below but I was looking to cut out any tow paths which I've been partially successful in but also to miss out the A5 and Edgeware Road.

Is the section through hyde park going to be full of dodging dog walkers? Maybe that is best avoided, but what is the best way if so

If theres any complete reworking required dont hesitate to say so

Thanks for taking a look...

I can't see your map but speed in Hyde Park depends which way you go.

The new cycle superhighway along West Carriage Drive / South Carriage Drive should be fairly fast because it is well segregated. However it is anti-social to try and cycle quickly along most of the other routes in the park - it is a congested, shared space where walkers are only to be expected.

    I ride through Hyde Park

You're dodging the occasional I-Ped, not too many dogs, biggest risk is the muppets on Boris Bikes

It's just a hill. Get over it.

I actually did this exact route today, it was fine. The biggest hazard was in Hyde park as you say but it wasn't Boris bikes it was two people practising cross country skiing in the middle of the road on skis with wheels attached
