This may be of interest to some, I've converted a nearly 30 year old Muddy Fox Courier to an eBike using the GSMoon conversion kit from woosh bikes (http://wooshbikes.co.uk/). The main problems were stripping down an MTB that has been stored in the loft for the last 15 years. The motor is 250 watt, which is ok for the hilly area where I live but the top speed is a bit limited so my commute takes about the same time but it does mean the missus can derny pace me up hills etc :-)

Nice project. Like that Muddy Fox a lot too. I really wanted one of those as a young lad. Deore DX. mmmm

    Excellent video, good stuff.

I've been looking at getting an ebike just for lazy , relaxing trips out in the saddle, but the price has been putting me off. As you say, a cheap off roader/hybrid and this kit gets the job done for around £900... my next project.

I think you can come in well under 900 even with a new bike.
