Unable to Configure my Cateye Micro Computer

Hi, I am experiencing severe problems trying to set up my Cateye Micro Wireless bike computer (model type: CC- MC100W). The main issue (at present) concerns getting it to configure with the wheel circumference of my bike, although I suspect there are other demons lying in wait further up the setting up process. The issue then is this: I cannot find a way of altering the first three digits of the four-digit number presented on the display, using either the Mode button and/or the Menu button on the back of the computer.

The main problem for me, however, lies with interpreting the manual instructions that come with the computer. I'm bound to say that these are possibly the worst instructions I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in my entire adult life. They are both vague and partial; worse still, there appears to be a built-in assumption that the customer is already a computer expert, well acquainted with the intricacies of configuring such devices without the need of much - if anything at all - in the way of technical assistance. I have contacted Cateye via their Technical Support section, but in truth do not expect anything meaningful from them.

Many thanks.

if i remember correctly, the button that you are using to count through the 1st digit? hold it down for a few seconds and it ll take you to the next digit to change.

Thanks - yes I did find someone online who offers clear instructions about how to configure this Cateye. Such folk, in my opinion, deserve a special award for being so unstintingly helpful. . .
