Bike Shops

Hello
I live just West of Cambridge, I am looking for a really good bike shop. A shop where I could either have a bike build or buy one of the top end brands, Pinarello, Collage, Willier, Orbea etc etc. I have an idea to source the bits for my dream bike but need to find the right people to put it together for me.
Any suggestions, in Cambridge, Peterborough, Royston, Letchworth, Bedford, Milton Keynes.
Thank you in advance for your response.

Isn't Fat Birds nr. you? Otherwise look at the dealerships for the brands altho' those brands are not premium (to me). They are just 'bikes'. Pinarello are certainly over-priced for the money (imo)0

Hello mate,
I live in Cambridge and Primo Cycles on Jesus Lane (near Park Street Car Park) usually have some tasty bikes in there (Colnago etc).
I've used them quite a few times for bits and bobs and there are always people in there discussing high end wheels/aero wheels/£8k bikes blah blah blah.
Give them a call, got to be worth a shout - 01223 5005020 -
Rutland Cycles have a good shop on the outskirts of Peterborough. Not sure what brands they stock but check their website.0

I think you need to start test riding a few as those brands are all very different. If you dont know mich about it all i wouldnt go buying a load of stuff and then giving it to a shop to put together as you could buy a load of incompatible stuff. Not only that far more expensive to build a bike up, just go find a nice bike already built and ride it. Far less hassle. Been there too many times to do it again.0

You mentioned MK, so I'd fully recommend Corleys at the top end of MK just off the A5 at Stacey Bushes, and 23C just up the road in Stony Straftford. 23C do a nice range of coffee & cake too, so is easy to justify a visit.
Both are pukkah bike shops with top quality levels of customer service etc.
If you go down the path of buying the bits to build your own spec bike, the putting together bit is the easiest part surely. Brakes go here, cables down there, derailleurs there & there, wheels here etc. Two Allen Keys, a Phillips screwdriver and a BB tool will do it.0
