Calibre Bossnut - Potential Problem

Not sure if this is the right forum but here seems as good as anywhere.

Had my new bike delivered a couple of weeks ago, I've had a couple of short rides on it so far and all seems well. But, I've put a fatter cassette and single ring on and when I let the air out of the shock to check the chain length the rear tyre hit the set tube.

I've ridden it again fairly hard since to see if it hits during normal riding and it doesn't look like it has, but it was only at cannock so there's nothing to say it wont happen somewhere proper or if I take it over stile cop.

Has anyone heard anything about this from anywhere else? Or is it just me?

Not sure if it's normal on the bossnut. Have you fitted wider tyres?
Some bikes just do this, the previous two generations of Specialized Demo always hit the rear tyre on the seat tube at full compression.

Nah tyres are standard and only 2.2 bee lines so proper low profile as it is. I'll keep an eye on it, guess I'll have to give it some stick over the summer and see if it breaks during the warranty period.
