I'm looking for a guard for the rear shock of my sommet... Might such a device be available? Just to stop grit etc from being brought up by the rear wheel. I might say it's not causing any damage at the moment, but I'm noticing quite a bit of build up on the rearward facing side of the unit.

Nice one.

You can use foam, common with motor X bikes, allows movement but keeps out muck
