supposed to go to the gym, but a wave of apathy swept over me

waiting for the cafe to open, then head to the office, got a couple of sessions with the punters today, plus the ever increasing administrative and procedural burden of globalmegacorp, it's so clear they get the ideas from dilbert strips

think i need to sneak in a couple of days of this week

Date dropped off at the station, second brew drank, looking at the emails wondering where to start.

I have an appointment with the neighbouring constabulary this afternoon who are going to teach me all about safe driving and never to speed again and what a naughty boy I was to exceed the limit on an overtaking lane. Should be interesting.

Slow ride this morning, probably due to watching Coldplay until late and drinking Rioja.

General guff to sort out today and try and be healthy.

    Morning all,
Had to try to get the daughter up early for a school trip to Bletchley Park. Knew it was unlikely and would be a struggle. Unfortunately didn't manage to get her to go as she really didn't feel well enough. Shame as it would have been good for her even though we knew it would probably result in another couple of days being written off. Because I couldn't phone the school to tell them it added a bit of a diversion as I had to go and tell them she wouldn't be there. Nice to have a slightly longer wobble though. Now on my third cup of tea.

Damn that has to be heartbreaking V68.

Monday came and went, unremarkable, like most Mondays are. Sat by the fire with a decent glass or three of red this evening.

It is. But things are improving, slowly. A month ago we wouldn't have considered sending her on the trip. She's doing 2 hours of school every day now and that will probably increase next week. We are seeing all the right specialists now as well.
But, it does feel like a bit of my heart breaks every day. We are both exhausted emotionally form all this, but we know it's not life threatening and she will get better eventually. Compared to some people we are incredibly lucky.
    Thanks.

@V68, best wishes to you and your loved ones.

Aching body, prevarication and ineffective actions is the overwhelming output so far today. Chasing payment from one client......

Later is a trip to London for dinner with business partners which will lighten the mood

I can foresee jezza getting replaced and a general election in the autumn with labour standing on a ticket of not following through on the referendum result.

    Could stevo vote labour....

Hmmm...I'll save that little moral dilemma for later in the year. I can see that sort of scenario happening, but what's not clear is what the process is for ratifying the referendum so the Article 50 trigger can be pulled. If Parliament needs to do it, then its a possible situation.

Lib dems have already said they are for staying in, we know the SNP are for in EU even if out of the UK. Labour could join forces with either or both to keep us in.

V: sad to read - hope all gets better soon.

Mental hectic here from 6 this morning, already been called back in once due to some daft bint collapsing. "what's your diagnosis, scabby" they said. "Weakness" I replied.

Currently watching the best team in the world play the Spanish. Am not making any comments for risk of jinxing.

The current narrative from the Tories is Teresa May , if elected may not need to trigger a general election as she was a minister and a member of the last government when elected where that twot boris "I'm a lying self promoting I'd sell your wife and daughter to white slavers if they'd vote for me" Johnson

The longer this goes on the more settled the decision becomes. Let's hope labour are equally adept as the Tories at killing and digesting their own when self preservation is the context and appointing a leader who is authentic and stands on a ticket of remain.

Fail to see how a new leader could carry a mandate to remain. Even the concessions Cameron negotiated are off the table so we would be stuck with the status quo at best. Not acceptable to 17m+ people.
