Coffee supping and looking after the hound, who is still recovering after losing his family jewels on Thursday. Also watching the Beeb news about the current political carnage. Later will be going to see Stropteen play in a concert. Joy."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Lazy start to the day. Replaced a garden light. Tidied up workshop work in progress stuff, sold a few odds and ends that were no longer required...

Lazy morning, I'm off work tomorrow too so I'm considering postponing riding til tomorrow and taking the GF somewhere, shes moaning that she's not left our little town in 7 days and I suspect she's starting to go native. It's going to smash it down with rain at 2 so I suspect she will spend ages deciding what to do and by then it will be too late to go riding. Might just get pissed...0

Slow start today after a busy day yesterday. Off to see the 'rents in a while and my sister before she goes back to Italy. Pub later.0

Massive brekkie of fried potatoes, bacon and fried eggs - proper bauernfruhstuck. Went for a bike ride with Mrs BBGeek. After the torrential rain yesterday the roads are covered in sand, gravel and other detritus. Managed 14 whole miles, and this included a pub stop.
Now home for more beer and wine and Thai green curry for tea. Work tomorrow - bah.

Sat with my 14 year old son whilst he did 2 hours homework, nice salad lunch, took the wife's apple computer to get fixed (again... luckily still under warranty) then had a dinner with friends. It doesn't sound much but it was a full day!'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP0

Knackered after Dartmoor classic - 107 miles and 11k ft of climbing
Now in the van heading back home, need food and more beer0 -
Ciao
Been at work from 6 every morning for the past few days, on call all day and night from few days ago until next Thursday. Knackered.
Closest bicycle thing is adjusting a friend's rear mech today.
Right - off to hope the 'phone doesn't ring.

7460 ft of climbing and 138 miles. It rained from mile 65 onwards.
That was my first Audax and quite possibly the hardest ride so far in my cycling career.

How did you get on? I guess you're more fooked than podgy bloke TLW and his Sunday dawdle.
Thought I'd responded last night, prob a dream or forgot to press post.
5 hour mark, now to never do such a silly event again. Managed to dodge the rain thank god
The terrain is similar ish to Dartmoor, as in kinda empty with some pointless villages?0
