Not sure about the rest of the route but the one road I have ridden is the first link, specificaly the section between Lugano and Marrogia on Lake Lugano but we rode in the oposite direction and then peeled off left back over to Como.

Heading in to Lugano just have you wits about you, it's a fairly busy town and you are on some major roads, overall though the Italians are quite forgiving to cyclists so I doubt you'll have any problems there.

Another option is to travel north along the eastern shore of lake Maggiore, not that the other route will be any less dramatic but you'll be lakeside for much longer, have more options for stopping and places to stay over night.

And you'll end up in pretty much the same place at Bellinzona

I just had a quick look at one of your routes into Bescanson as I went there last year. It appear to be coming in on the main road the N57. Not what I would choose.
Tried putting your start/end destinations into the site below. You can also drag the route about. With plot smaller road, give a GPX file and turn by turn directions.

It's great isn't it when people ask a question and others go to the trouble of offering some help only to be ignored afterwards...

  • Apologize if i don't answer back your comment. I'm using the Cycle Travel Map as suggested by Whoof but didn't finish the route yet.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments and as soon i update my route i will post here.
