After several years of service and a few other upgrades along the way, I thought I'd try swapping a carbon frame into this bike.
There are a lot of options, but after my usual months of research I went for the CS-057 model from XM Carbonspeed, ordered it directly from the factory and had it delivered to me about ten days later. It took a couple of hours to swap the frame - definitely one of the more labour intensive jobs you can do - and the result is a bike that's lighter, stiffer, and comes with the benefit of internally routed gear cable(s) and rear brake hose. It now feels a lot easier to pedal up the hills and a lot more comfortable down them.
Apologies for the poor quality picture - this is a phone camera. I'll get some better ones shortly.
