Joe Blow Pump Issue

My Joe Blow Pump doesn't seem to like valve stems without threads as when pumping up tyres it blows off the valve at around 60psi and no amount of reseating or locking down the lock tab seems to help. All is fine if inner tubes are threaded. Any thoughts please?

    worn rubber? (replacements are available)

think you can adjust the pressure on the rubber too IIRC

You can also buy different heads. The head on the pricier ones is nicer than the cheaper one

Using the pump on threaded valves wears the rubber away slowly. I got this replacement kit. Now 11 bar on unthreaded valve on track tubs is no longer a problem

I have a Joe Blow Sport and I can confirm that it works fine with unthreaded valve stems.
Maybe something needs replacing on yours.
