Mechanical disc brakes (and Campag levers..)

Thinking about getting a new frame for next winter, Planet X London Road or similar, and some nice disc-friendly handbuilts, and would like to re-use everything from my existing winter bike apart from the calipers.

I'd like to run 28mm tyres and my existing Dolan frame won't take them, and I'd like to not grind rims away on the winter commute.

Would mechanical disk calipers, Avid BB7 or similar, work correctly with the cable pull from my Campag 9 speed Veloce levers?

As best as I can tell online, the levers have a 3:1 mechanical advantage.

Yes, they work fine, unless you want them yto bite straightaway. You tipically need a bit of lever throw to get them to bite. Don't get the BB7, get the Spyre instead... better design, better action
