How does a cyclist reach the Trans-Pennine Trail after crossing the Runcorn-Widnes Bridge - safely?
The maps indicate a shared cycle / pedestrian way on the right of the bridge (going North) but there's been road buiding going on lately. Have they catered for us? I used to cycle to Liverpool from Chester this way 30 years ago completely on the road - dodging bits of broken vehicles - but looks a bit dodgy these days and would like a safe route.
