Just had an email through on the expanded Shadow range. Wow they have taken the price of Arm, Leg and Knee Warmers to new heights. 85 quid for leg warmers!!!! I begrudged paying out £30.00 for some sportful no rain ones recently

these are different, they project a shadow on the road even in the absence of sunlight... the shadow is always in front of you and crosses the line ahead of you... the shadow is UCI approved and counts as a win... that's the advantage!

My favourite review of the Shadow Jersey on their website is this one:

"it really poured with rain. this jersey gave me the dryness I needed even once the softshell had soaked through."

Buy the full kit and your wallet will be a shadow of its former self.

It's a shame a legitimate comparison between the Shadow kit and stuff like the Gabba/Lusso Repel/Orkaan/Mossa doesn't seem to exist.

Only cos they wouldn't send me the Rapha stuff (or Stolen Goat come to that)

I'm a rapha fan, normally the stuff is excellent quality and the customer service is top notch. But they have lost it with shadow pricing, double the price of castelli or the Mossa is a tad nuts.

I just nipped onto the site out of nosiness to have a look at this stuff because of this thread.

Sheeeeesh! £85 for leg warmers. £260 for shorts. Yup, £260.

As a serious question: people obviously buy this stuff.

Out of those who do buy it, do they feel that's it's worth spending so much when compared to the far cheaper alternatives (Gabba, etc). Or am I massively out of touch?
