Help with freehub body replacement.
I have a 10 speed only freehub on my Ritchey ds wcs v5 wheel but wanting to replace it with a 8-9-10 speed type, I removed the freehub and it's the type with pawls on the freehub held on with the wire, the problem is the one i found online which is apparently for this hub shows no pawls but the outer cog type? Will this be a direct replacement for the pawl type or am i looking at the wrong freehub?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Why won't your existing freehub take 8/9 speed?"It must be true, it's on the internet" - Winston Churchill0

For a brief period Shimano did a 10 speed only freehub / cassette with deeper splines to avoid the cassette cogs biting too deeply into the alloy freehub. I'm guessing it's one of those.
Have a look on Sheldon Brown for his usual detailed explanation:-
"Cassettes listed below will fit most Shimano and Shimano-compatible Freehub bodies, with the following exceptions:
Shimano FH-7800 and FH-7801 aluminum 10-speed bodies with tall splines work only with 10-speed sprockets. The Shimano cassettes listed here will fit, but don't try to use a cassette with fewer sprockets. Some other brands of 10 speed cassettes, in particular, SRAM, don't work with the taller splines."0 -
