Chainset advice please

I have a 4 year old carbon composite Giant TCR Advanced 2 which i'm very happy with. Unfortunately due to my advancing years (and weight) i struggle with some of the bigger hills these days.

Drive train is full Ultegra 6700 10 speed.

I recently swapped out the cassette from at 12/25 to an 11/28 which has improved things a little.

I'm still thinking i may have to swap the chainset which is currently a 53/39 to a more forgiving 50/34

Will i have to change any other components if i were to do this?

you'll need a new (shorter) chain and you'll need to lower the front mech a tad
