I see entries are open for the Duo Normand time trial. It's an annual 54 km time trial organised by a small village near Saint-Lô. http://www.duonormand.com/en/presentation.html. There is usually a good contingent of Brits who come to take on the locals.
Anyone can enter a team of two and it must be one of the only UCI Europe Tour cycling events where Mr or Mrs Nobody can compete against some famous names in cycling.
Chris Boardman and Jens Voigt set a course record in 1999 that stood for 14 years. I can't help wondering what would happen if Bradley Wiggins teamed up with another time trial specialist, perhaps to set a new record which would go unbeaten for many years.
