hi all looking for a new commuter/winter bike to replace my faithful old Dolan Proffesio thats covered around 14000 miles
looking for something with discs and mudguard mounts.
local to me are two choices from LBS, a cannondale synapse disc 105 (2015) from one shop and the ORRO Terra 105 from another, both are sub £1000 and i quite like the terra as maybe be able to do some light cross work.
not sure if the cannondale has mudguard mounts though?
what else could i consider? cross bikes also? cheers for any ideas

Giant Defy Disc another one to look at.
I was prepared to just say that. Or get the 'Dale. Then I looked at the ORRO and, confess, had not heard of them.
Here's the thing. Just find out about max tyre size, out of interest and then, assuming it rides well, get that. Very good at that price IMO. As long as it rides well.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I quite like that ORRO Terra Gravel!WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

The Cube Attain SL disc looks decent value for money for a hydro disc equipped bike if you are able to go over the £1k.0

The ORRO spec looks good, but I'm wary of aluminum with only clear coat. Water and salt has a habit of getting underneath it through cracks and chips and making it look rubbish as the aluminum oxidises. I prefer [titanium, but after that] paint.0
